So due to that discussion about a possible DAI rp, here's the DAI versions of Wolfram and Emil. Wolfram's hair is just grey in this and I haven't progressed much in any of the playthroughs for my characters to have their Warden armors. And Emil, having never actually joining the Wardens, returned to Kirkwall after a few years in time for Hawke to deal with the Qunari. He, unfortunately, found himself near the chantry during that fateful night and got caught in the blast zone. He managed to survive the chaos of the rest of that night and at some point spent a brief period as Viscount due to the connections he had made in the previous years.

Well if you regret it long enough, perhaps the Black Emporium will show up in Inquisition. Hopefully Bioware finds a way to add that in. Would be a real help with character creation if we can get a retry without the whole starting a new character part.

Im so annoyed with the character creator, and the opening scene and BLUGH! I've scrapped like five characters because of the lighting If Bioware doesn't do it, the modders will.

At least it's not as bad as DA2 having to sit through several cutscenes and a tutorial segment before getting to the character creation with poor lighting.
Preach the truth, Swift. I think the general consensus—when we consider how you couldn't zoom out in Origins' character creator, which always left me with oddly tiny looking heads—is that Bioware has lovely and wonderful and also horrible character creators.
Oh god...it feels dirty to even suggest that the Sims has a better character creator but...at least the LIGHTING is consistent and you can see the whole body!
I was going to praise the Elder Scrolls character creator, and suggest Bioware take a page from Bethesda's book, but then I remembered that it's really only Skyrim that has any great character creator to speak of. Obliviion's character creator, you looked completely different whether you were viewing yourself from the right or left profile, and you basically had to flip a coin over which side you wanted to look better.
I really LOVE the interface of the Inquisition character creator—I especially dig the sliders—but the lighting kills it. I don't want to play Russian Roulette with my character. Will s/he or won't s/he have orange skin because I can't see through this impenetrable fog....Also a little bummed out that you can get as detailed as LIP LINER and INNER AND OUTER FREAKIN EYE COLOR, but can't control a body-type slider or something. I don't want anything extreme...just maybe variations of height and weight within a race-prescribed limit. That doesn't seem too hard...Also....hair....Hair is the title of the Bioware Character Creator Tragedy...
Oh well. They're getting there, assuming they make more games.
Sims 4 character creator is pretty beefed up actually compared to 3. If you want to come over to my apartment sometime Margaid I'll let you play the game. Over all I still like Sims 3 better.
I hope the modders get something out soon that strips away the horrid lighting. It seems like a big enough issue that this will probably come out early in the mod life. They already have a fix for the tactical camera. I didn't have much hope for the hair out of the gate, Bioware is not known for their character's hair being good. >.>

Oh my god...it took me 20 hours of gameplay before finally getting the Warden Scout Armor for Robert. Well...technically I got the schematic 20 hours in, but still. Wolfram's won't take as long since I can get the Warden Battle Mage armor in the Fallow Mire. Don't know how long it will take to get the Warden Warrior armor for Maddox. I wish Bioware creates and releases the Black Emporium thing soon. Anyway, Robert in Warden armor!
So...I believe the leather is Canine, the armor is Paragon's Luster, and he also has a Fade-Touched Velveteen changing some of the cloth coloring.

Robert is looking pretty hot there. Nice work on the armor! Lith is great. So is Wolfram and Maddox and everyone. I should try with some of my regular characters.
Here's my latest girl with Varric. They almost look related. Le sigh. Might as well be as you can't romance Varric.

I wonder why you can manage to make a decent male and then almost all females I've managed or seen around are fugly. Even the npcs.
I have a Dalish (who else) rogue (hah) female Inquisitor. Now my main concern is who I'm going to pursue, Cullen or Blackwall. Both are so yummy I almost feel guilty. I'll leave Iron Bull for my Qunari Mage or Warrior female, because no one else would be able to ride the bull (d'oh!)
My Qunari mage took The Iron Bull and he's fun. I did enjoy the exchanges he has. I didn't want to take him at first but Cullen will only take elf or human and same with Solas. I didn't want fuzzy so didn't go for Blackwall and Dorian is only gay so le sigh. Sucks.
