Actually, we all expected the Inquisition, but maybe I didn't expect just how much it would take over my life? Seriously, this game is beautiful!
I'm not sure if everyone has gotten it yet, or is planning to get it, but I thought considering the nature of this RP, people might have fun discussing the game (spoiler free, of course) and showing off their Inquisitors. I know character creation alone took me about two hours—not counting going back and re-doing my Inquisitor after discovering that I had made him nigh orange, thanks to the weird Rift lighting.
So, if anyone cares, meet Trystan, human noble mage. The scar on his lip is from being backhanded by a Templar while in the Circle. When the Circles rebelled, he booked it, wanting no part in the rebellion. It's still a mystery to me as to how he came to be where he was. Let's find out how you got yourself into this mess, Trystan!
(He's darker-skinned than this weird sunset-ish lighting makes him look.)

I'm just gonna say now that I am extremely happy that I am finally able to have a dalish elf origin, without mods. That said...when people started to get all religious Lithawen was all like "I'm so not okay with this". Lithawen was first my Orlesian warden in awakening, then the RP lithawen, and now Lithawyn is my inquisitor. Fun to be had there. I'll post a picture of her after I get home and to my beautiful desktop pc

I've playing this whenever I could, and thankfully I now have a day off to just play it.
Meet Lucien, my Male Warrior inquisitor everyone seems to think is a lady. Ugh...I can't wait till Bioware fixes this bug. It's a bit startling when in one line they refer to me as 'my lady' and the next is Ser Trevelyan. Another weird this that they started me off wearing Rogue armor that immediately unequipped when I finally grabbed my greatsword.
So Lithawen loves to ride her bog unicorn. It is now cannon. She tells a different story everytime someone asks her how she got a dead horse with a sword through it's head. "It's not a Unicorn! It's a horse with a sword on it's head! It's here to protect my hopes and my dreams..."
So as far as story goes this game is great. As far as the game engine goes, I'm pretty pissed. I have gear that is very close to the recommended or matching it, and I have to run my game on the lowest settings to avoid lag. The biggest annoyance is when I look at my throne it's a big mushy blob for a second before edges load, then another second before the textures load. This is really pissing me off because they shouldn't have switched game engines and start using one created SPECIFICALLY for battlefield. Battlefield is a completely different game, down to the in-game elements. I stand around for minutes waiting for my companions to appear, I can't find blackwall to finish the freaken warden quest. It was a horrible idea to use a FPS's engine for large sandboxes and I think PC users have the brunt of it, but I've seen how Cha and Fei's PS4 version looks good, but has compounding issues, and they have a glitch where it skips chunks of dialogue.
Oh, so the game got Battlefield's engine AND glitches ? Neat ! Do you also get the one where all sounds get permanently muted when you use a silenced weapon ? On the plus side, if you have the same physics engine, there are some grazy stuff you can do with explosives. Try sticking C4 under your horse, apparently you can jump up buildings and land still intact. Well, if you have C4s, of course. Maybe it's still hidden somewhere in the code.
But yeah, modern games seem to be suffering from a distinct lack of optimization, and won't run smoothly on anything less than twice the recommended specs. I won't even try considering installing this DragonAge on my computer, which is already having trouble running the desktop. I've tried : playing a game in powerpoint-mode, is absolutely no fun.
Life is so busy I just want to sit down in my pajamas for twelve hours with tea and Inquisition but instead I need to teach children all day UGH
Anyway, I wanted to get on the Inquisitor bandwagon before I started to buckle down and try to answer some posts.
Here's Asaara Adar, Qunari Mage Inquisitor. I think she's pretty smokin' if I do say so myself but HEY I mean I would hope that I'd be able to make a character I thought was attractive after spending HOURS IN THE CHARACTER CREATOR
Ok I actually decided to look at the names. Gwillaminei is the first character I made and she's a dwarf but I decided to try out a Qunari mage so she's Djalla. Now I've created a new dwarf named Halika but I'm still playing Djalla through the whole thing. I will go to Halika after that then maybe Gwillaminei. Dang my names sometimes come up so freaky. I have no idea what gets into me when creating names.
I just bought myself the GTX 970 graphics card. So guys...get ready for some beautiful screen shots
I also just got home from a San Diego business trip so I'm excited to get back into the game! (*cries to self* I missed you so much *nuzzles gaming pc and DAI*)
