Alright, so following your examples, I thought it could be useful to piece together a summary of my characters’ main guidelines regarding their specifics and RP opportunities. As it is, my RP experience with you is near-nil, so I don’t think additional precisions would be too much. Besides, my character descriptions and overall writing style are quite bulky, and sometimes meaningful information tends to be drown in unnecessary figures of speech. So I’ll take this opportunity to highlight the most relevant parts and present their interests and goals, and maybe it’ll clear up their respective potentials for missions, side stories and RPs in general.
As you may have noticed, people knowing from some long-forsaken Neverwinter Nights RP occasionally call me “Zabrard”, which is fine since that character will more than likely come back for the inquisition, albeit with some drastic changes. I’m usually partial to picking nicknames starting with “Z” for my characters, so that Damien guy is quite unusual for me. As is that Victoria girl. Meh, whatever, I’ll get used to them. Just to say that if you had doubts on which nickname to use, stop having them; hell, you can even call me “comrade premier” if you like, just as long as I know you’re talking to me, I won’t be all self-righteous about it.

Damien:
Martial exercises:
- Training military personnel;
- Partaking in intelligence gathering, reconnaissance missions and investigations;
- Offering advice and insight in decision making, diplomatic talks and strategy planning;
- Overseeing supply routes and security;
- Hit-and-run skirmishes, raids and charges.
Personal missions:
- Trying to gain a foothold in Ferelden’s higher social circles;
- Showing his worth as a competent administrator and tactician, gaining fame and respect in the process;
- Settling unfinished business with his former associates in Denerim;
- Pushing for empowerment of Ferelden’s lower social layers, turning the “race struggle” into “class struggle” (no Marxist, but close enough);
- Finishing his book about the “method of indivisibles” and infinitesimals.
Pre-current RP:
- About 10-12 years before current RP, Damien was forcefully enrolled in a group of about a dozen bandits, marauding in the northern parts of Ferelden. Preying on isolated targets, he may have come upon merchants and lone travelers. Though barely regarded as a meatshield at that point, the young elf would have stood out among the group of lowlifes.
- Up until the Blight, he spent his years in Denerim, in and out of the alienage, slowly creeping his way up the criminal ladder to eventually become the leader of a minor group of thugs. He is likely to have seen anyone dwelling in Denerim’s poorer quarters. Pretentious and violent, he may not have made a good impression on those meeting him. But he was cautious enough to avoid bloodbath, and thus rarely resorted to lethal violence.
- During the Blight, he wound up with a group of fighters, riding along the frontline, trying to hinder Darkspawn advance and assist the evacuation of civilians. For the right price, they would sometimes attempt quick raids to recover lost or abandoned possessions behind enemy lines. Though they did not take part in the major battles of the short-lived Blight, and kept their distance with the civil war, they have crossed paths with many retreating soldiers, fleeing civilians and the occasional fighters unwilling to give up.
- At least two times during the war, they made the trip to the Orlesian border, seeking to smuggle works of art and precious goods stolen from abandoned mansions. One of the members having connections with Orlesian nobility, they were able to garner significant income from the activity. With the increased military presence at the border, the journey was dangerous and everything might not always have gone according to the plan.
- After the end of the Blight, the group stuck together for a while, offering their services as caravan guards and occasional reinforcements for the watch and the military. As many started to go back to previous or new lives, their number grew scarcer until Damien left to find the Wardens. In the meantime, they have escorted their share of dignitaries and wealthy citizens, benefiting from their good knowledge of local geography and the momentary weakening of official authorities.
Post-current RP
- Because his quest is mostly about success and power, Damien’s future will depend on the course of actions during his stay with the Hero of Ferelden, but it will most certainly have nothing to do with the Gray Wardens themselves. Whether he sticks to the shadows or steps into the light, there’s little chance he’ll be involved in the events of the inquisition.
