*pokes her head around the door* Um... may I come in?
Hello, everyone! Sophia here. It's wonderful so see so many familiar names: Macha mentioned that these forums were up and running again, and I couldn't resist coming back to poke my nose in. I hope you don't mind me hovering around a little: I promise I won't get in the way.
This time around I'll be leaving my smiling mage behind and bringing in someone a little rougher: if I'm not annoying anyone by slipping in, then I'll put up a character board for her soon. Until then, it's so wonderful to see you all again! I hope life's treating you well~
Oh my gosh! It's so good to see you again! I'm so happy Macha passed on the word to you; I got worried when the Forum Redux had been around for a few months and you hadn't put in an appearance ;v;/
I hope everything has been well with you. Happy New Year, and I'm thrilled to see that you're coming back!
I'm so glad to be here! And Sophia may be popping up a little later on, if the situation calls for it~
But for now, here are a few story threads for my baby reaver. I apologise in advance if she doesn't behave herself... >.<
Charrick:
Reaver Missions:
Charrick loves to fight. This cannot be stressed enough. So long as the opponent in question is sure to give her a decent challenge, she will quite willingly go anywhere in order to prove her own strength. However, she's not exactly subtle, and is best suited to missions where she can make a lot of noise and cause a lot of damage.
That said, if you want to give her orders, you'd better be willing to prove that you're worth it. Charrick prefers to fight with people before she fights alongside them: knocking her flat in a fair fight is a good way to earn her respect.
Bodyguard work, whether for a person or a caravan, would suit her. She might not be subtle, but she's intimidating enough.
Missions in harsh terrain, particularly deserts. Charrick knows how to stay alive: what to eat, where to find water, and how to fend off the wildlife.
Missions where a hard head and unfaltering tenacity are essential.
Personal Missions:
Dealing with her culture shock at finding herself in a world so unlike her desert home. Despite her bravado, Charrick often finds herself confused and distressed by the conventions and culture of the outside world. Finding a frame of reference she could understand would be a huge help.
Discovering where she came from and if she ever had a family at all.
Finding out why she can't dream, and why magic has so little effect on her.
Continually challenging and defeating stronger and stronger opponents.
Pre-Current RP:
Charrick spent most of her life in the Hissing Wastes and the Western Approach, attacking caravans and travellers to stave off boredom. She only ever made a point of attacking the people she thought would give her a good fight, and would often chat with the civilians in the convoy afterwards. Perhaps someone might recognise her from a wanted poster, or been travelling with one of the caravans she tore apart.
I kind of need to see a duel between Charrick and Macha eventually, Charrick deciding she needs to see if this noble is worth taking orders from or not.
Yeah! I'd love to start something up <3 Which would work better - an encounter just prior to the start of the current RP, or maybe something taking place after Macha meets with everyone in Lothering?
Maybe after? Lothering is being rebuilt, isn't it? So a new town would need plenty of supplies, which means lots of wagons filled with materials coming in from all over the place. Watching over all that would require a level head, and Charrick would be as attracted to all the hustle and bustle as she would all those guards in shiny armour just begging to be taken apart~
Alright! That sounds great. So the Wardens are still lingering in Lothering while they wait for any stragglers to come in before moving on (to Vigil's Keep? to wherever?). Macha will just be waiting around, doing Warden business, and we can go from there!
