Or maybe start after the mighty warden commander is made living Paragon by Orzanmar, I dunno.
People, where do you think we should have our base? Denerim? Soldier's Peak? (after some cleaning up), Vigil's Keep? A new one in the middle? (i.e. Lothering, Ostagar, ...)
Technically, Lothering would be an ideal location for a base of operation : it's pretty much central on the territory of Ferelden, on the imperial highway, and near to the lands where Darkspawns are most likely to be spotted; however it's pretty much in ruins at that time, and considering it can take ten years or more to build even a castle, we'll have to do with fortified mansions and houses.
On the other hand, with Soldier's Peak and Vigil's Keep we can have all the cleaning/reconstructing fun stuff, but we'll a bit further away from cities like Redcliffe, the Mage tower, Orzammar, and such. But it's also closer to the sea, so we can have people coming in from the sea and bumping head first in the Wardens' HQ (Qunari incursions, anyone ?) I'd personaly be in favor of sticking to Vigil's Keep : it's close enough to Denerim to have all sorts of political intrigues, and close to Amaranthine to have all kinds of funny strangers landing on the shores.

Hah Lothering was Calliara's choice in the old forum, we think alike
I like better Soldier's Peak than Vigil's Keep (I just despise Howe with all my female Cousland that married Alistair heart) but it's closer to everything and Soldier's Peak is VERY dirty. And, Avernus (Nyggy, did you kill Avernus or not? those things we have to make a thread about, like saying who is king in Orzanmar, if the Dalish were helped or slaughtered in favour of the werewolves, if you sided with mages or templars, and so on...)
Ok, Vigil's Keep. OH! That means we have to get Varel! <3
I say we go a bit north over the Waking Sea, kick out the Orlesians, and take over Chateau Haine like the Gray Wardens of old
I like the idea of Soldier's Peak and Vigil's Keep, since they both already have fortresses to host the company. There's a part of me that thinks it would be fun to put our characters to task, cleaning up Soldier's Peak and maybe discovering more hidden secrets, of both the nasty and favorable varieties.
Then again, Soldier's Peak is very out of the way (and SNOWY), whereas Vigil's Keep has the city around it, which offers more RP opportunities, I think.
As for when to start, what about a kind of in medias res thing, where the established company is on the road heading towards the chosen location? It gives other characters a chance to meet Nygozy on the road, but they still become part of the party before they officially take the new Gray Warden's Keep by storm. Just a thought; I think that's pretty much how the RP started late time, if I remember correctly...so I don't know if people want to switch it up or not.
Well I'm all for it, personally, we can meet up on the road, and our first serious order of business is nothing less than storming some big-ass castle. I like it.

So...question, how long after the Battle of Denerim are we? Just by looking at the topic, I'm getting a feeling the rp was, in a sense, reset. I'm okay with that, for the most part. The one reason I want to know is because I don't know if I need to slightly tweak Wolfram's profile so he joins up sooner.
Also, in regards to conversation above. I think Vigil's Keep would make for a better base in terms of rping, but I would like to add that Soldier's Peak could make for a useful supplementary base. Vigil's Keep is in between Amaranthine and Denerim with Soldier's Peak being to the North West of that. The thing with Vigil's Keep, however, is that Nygozy would also have to run Amaranthine, unless we are scraping that part of Awakening.
Quick Question for future reference: Can we plan RPs in Side Stories, Invites Only, and such that take place "in the future," beyond the point the main RP is currently at? For instance, if I wanted to RP my character A with someone else's character B, but I want them to be a month into knowing each other a little bit, could we do that? Or should we stick to the same exact timeline as the RP (unless it's a "prequel" RP in Before After Dragon Age)?

Sorry Swift, I completely forgot.
I have to confirm with Nyggy, but I think we're six months after the battle of Denerim, meaning, at the start of Awakening. Maybe we're going to rewrite Awakening by ourselves
